<span style='color: #008080;'>Robert Russell Macnee 1880 - 1952</span>

Robert Russell Macnee was born in Milngavie, Dunbartonshire and studied at Glasgow School of Art. He is noted for his paintings of country scenes, especially of poultry. His pictures are usually full of sunlight and, though his brushstrokes are broad, his work has the feel of cool restraint.
He exhibited 115 times at the Glasgow Institute of Fine Arts as well as Manchester City and Liverpool Walker Art Galleries, the Royal Academy, the Royal Hibernian Academy, the Royal Scottish Academy and the Royal Scottish Society of Painters in Watercolours.

<span style='color: #008080;'>David  McLeod Martin R.S.W.  R.G.I. b. 1922</span>

David Martin was born in Glasgow in 1922 and his studies at the city's School of Art were interupted by war service in the Royal Air Force. He taught for some time, becoming principal teacher of art at Hamilton Grammar School. He retired early in 1983 to paint full time. He explores line and rhythmical shapes whichgive a sense of abstraction to his landscape work. He has exhibited at many Scottish and English galleries and has work in many public collections.

<span style='color: #008080;'>Ann Oram RSA b.1956</span>

Scottish artist Ann Oram studied at Edinburgh College of Art 1976 - 82 and then taught there for two years before spending a further two years in Spain. She returned to teach part time in Edinburgh in 1991 having spent some time as a visiting lecturer at Newcastle Polytechnic. She has won numerous awards, including the May Marshall Brown Award at the RSW. An exceptionally good colourist, she prefers to work in watercolour. Her work is in many public and corporate collections.
