One of five pen and ink studies from Bagshawe's sketch books, all drawn as illustrations for either The Field or Yachting and Boating Monthly in 1909 and reproduced in His nephew, Gerald Wilfred Bagshawe's 1933 book, The Wooden Ships of Whitby.
